Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council under instruction from the UK Government and against the wishes of the Borough Councillors have instigated the Regulation 19 Consultation of the Local Plan where Residents can now only comment on whether the plan is "Legal and Sound".
Given the substantial changes to the Local Plan since it was published for the Regulation 18 consultation, we strongly believe that the Draft Local Plan should at this stage be reconsulted at Regulation 18 level as the plan has been fundamentally changed.
The Local plan as it stands IS unsound in terms on Infrastucture planning eg Water Supply, Transportation links, Education and health etc.
Consultation runs from the 11th September until the 25th October 2026.
